How many times have you thought that you could easily write a book about a topic that is near and dear to your heart? If you’re anything like most of the people that we know, chances are you have had those thoughts quite a few times.
What has stopped you?
Fear.
Uncertainty.
Doubt.
Most likely all of the above. The process of turning your idea into a book can seem daunting, downright scary actually. You’ve heard horror stories of authors proposing their book to publisher after publisher, and each one turns them away with a rejection. Did you know that even J.K. Rowling–author of the unbelievably successful Harry Potter series of books–was rejected by more than one publisher?
If a publisher would reject Harry Potter, why would they ever publish your book on how to grow pumpkins in a backyard garden?
Well, to be honest, they wouldn’t.
Traditional publishers aren’t interested in working with authors of such books. And that is exactly why Teague Publishing was created.
Being an indie publishing company we can appreciate that many great successes started with a dream. You have the dream to publish the book(s) living inside of you, and we don’t believe that a book publisher should squash that dream. We want you to write that book. We want you to live that dream.
Our dream is to be the publisher that is helping writers like you achieve their dreams!

There have been a lot of times where I’ve been at a bookstore browsing through the books and realized that I could easily write a book just as good or better than the books on the shelf. But I have never followed through because I know how hard it can be to get a book deal done.
Thanks for the information!
Ed, let us know when you’re ready to explore the possibilities with publishing your first book!
Kudos and congrats on the new venture. As a published author and professional writer myself, I can certainly appreciate the challenges that other writers can face. Best of luck.
Michael, thank you for stopping by and sharing your well wishes. If you know any aspiring authors, be sure to send them our way!
Good post. I have found that what really pushes my buttons is reading something a little kinky.
Jennine, thank you for stopping by and commenting.
